Orpheum: The Dark TourGardner Design. 2025. Opened in 1922, the Orpheum Theater is a landmark in Wichita’s cultural landscape. In 2025, the historic venue closed its doors for a year to undergo a long-anticipated renovation—its first major update in decades.

During this intermission, the Orpheum’s marketing team partnered with Gardner Design to create a campaign that would sustain public interest and honor the theater’s rich history. The result was The Dark Tour—a narrative-driven initiative that bridged the past, present, and future of the Orpheum while the stage remained dark.
